Red-carpet screenings and premieres
During this year's festival you get the chance to see some of the biggest Norwegian films before anyone else, with actors and directors present. Below is an overview of the films with festival premieres and red-carpet screenings.
Monday 24.08 // LOW EXPECTATIONS
On the festival's first day we start with the Norwegian premiere of LAVE FORVENTNINGER. The film is shown in both Klingenberg 1 and Saga 1, and the film's director and actors will be present at both screenings. The opening screening in Klingenberg 1 is sold out, but the film has several screenings during the festival with cast and crew present.
Tuesday 25.08 // THE MURDER OF BENJAMIN
On Tuesday, you can catch the important and powerful THE MURDER OF BENJAMIN. The film is based on a true story. The film's cast and crew will be present at the screening, followed by a panel conversation.
Tuesday 25.08 // SAVAGE MOUNTAIN
Also on Tuesday you can catch the Oslo premiere of SAVAGE MOUNTAIN at Vega Scene. At the screening, the film's director, Even Sigstad, producer Filip Christensen, and Kristin Harila will be present for a conversation after the film.
Wednesday 26.08 // BUTTERFLY
On Wednesday there will be a festival premiere of GRITT director Itonje Søimer Guttormsen's latest film, BUTTERFLY, starring Renate Reinsve among others. The film is the festival's Centrepiece film. Guttormsen and Reinsve will be present at the screening together with the film's other actors. They will all also appear at the screening at Vega Scene later in the evening to introduce the film.
After the film, there will be an after-party at Kunstnernes Hus from 20.30.

Thursday 27.08 // EVERYBODY DIGS BILL EVANS
On Thursday there will be a screening of EVERYBODY DIGS BILL EVANS in Klingenberg 1, starring Anders Danielsen Lie. Lie will be present at the screening and will take part in a conversation with Audun Vinger afterwards. There will also be jazz records played, courtesy of Fredrick Arnøy and Øyvind Larsen from Victoria Nasjonal Jazzscene, in the foyer before the film.
Thursday 27.08 // LET OUR MOUNTAINS LIVE
At Vega Scene you can catch the premiere screening of LET OUR MOUNTAINS LIVE with the film's director Håvard Bustnes present.
Thursday 27.08 // A PRAYER FOR THE DYING
On Thursday there will also be the Oslo premiere of the Norwegian-produced A PRAYER FOR THE DYING at Cinemateket in Oslo. The film's director, Dara Van Dusen, and one of the film's actors, Kristine Kujath Torp, will take part in a conversation after the film.
Friday 28.08 // FJORD
Palme d'Or winner FJORD is this year's closing film. The film's cast and crew will be present at the screening, and afterwards there will be a festival premiere party at Kunstnernes Hus from 22.30. The screening in Klingenberg 1 is sold out, but the film is shown several times during the festival.

Saturday 29.08 // KJÆRAST
On Saturday there will be a red-carpet screening of KJÆRAST, based on an original screenplay by Erik Fosse. The film's director, Erik Poppe, will be present at the screening in Klingenberg 1.
Sunday 30.08 // NATION'S GAMBIT
On the festival's last day you can catch the action thriller NATION'S GAMBIT, based on the bestselling book of the same name. The film's cast and crew will be present at the screening.
