A family drama unlike anything else you may have seen, lodged right between the absurd and the existential.

The sasquatch, also known as bigfoot, is a mythical, mighty creature, rumoured to reside deep within the woods of North America. In Sasquatch Sunset, we are finally granted entry into the lives of these elegant creatures. The film follows a fuzzy family of four over the course of a year as they look for their place in a world filled with danger, unexpected turn, and bodily fluids.

As the filmmakers could not cast real sasquatches, the family is played by actors Jesse Eisenberg, Riley Keough, Christophe Zajac-Denek, and Nathan Zellner. That is what they want you to believe, at least…

«It’s an extraordinary film, an entirely singular creative venture. […] [F]or anyone who is intrigued by the idea of a movie that serves as both a treatise on despair and loneliness, and a delivery vehicle for extravagantly crass toilet humour, weaponised faeces, absurd sight gags and some rather bracing sexual encounters, this rather wonderful oddity ticks all the boxes.»
