Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, LeAnn Rimes. We are sure that each of these wonderful singers should have a film of their own. We are showing films about fierce ladies with their impressive voices every evening at 8.30pm.

We are moving on from Mariah Carey's New York to Christina Aguilera's Los Angeles where we have yet another story about a hidden star just waiting to be discovered.

Small town girl Ali, played by Christina Aguilera, is moving to Los Angeles with a hope for her breakthrough as an artist. To make ends meet she gets a job at The Burlesque Lounge run by Tess, a retired dancer, played by the legend Cher. Ali starts as a waitress at the bar and she quickly falls in love with burlesque. She gets a chance to be on the stage and Tess discovers that Ali is not only a natural burlesque talent, but that she also has a fantastic voice.

Oscar winner Cher already has a long and successful career as an actress. The ambition was to get Christina on the same track withBurlesque. Neither the Oscar nor a long career as an actress have yet to see the light of day, but the attempt gave us this curiosity of a film.
