When Tyra goes home to visit her family on the occasion of her beloved father's 20th death anniversary, their world is turned upside down when the father unexpectedly shows up at their door that same evening.

Suddenly, they all face what grief has done to them. The short film Gjensyn is a school project from The Norwegian Film School, and the film was nominated for the Student Academy Awards in 2022.

Iain A.S. Forbes (b. 1990) is born in Scotland and raised in Lillesand, Norway, has a background in film studies from Danvik Folkehøgskole and Nordland kunst- og filmfagskole. He has directed short films like Snømann (2015) and Semper Fi (2017), and has also worked as a production manager on feature films.
