Gard B. Eidsvold
Gard B. Eidsvold (b. 1966) has worked as an actor since 1988 and has played roles in close to fifty theater productions and ninety films/series in bigger and smaller roles. Eidsvold is also a producer, director, and screenwriter.
Eidsvold has been connected to Teater Ibsen, Agder Teater, Oslo Nye Teater, Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheatret from 1998 to 2009. In 1996, he founded Oslo Moderne Teater, which has produced six theater productions.
He won the Hedda Award for best direction with Yngve Sundvor in 1998 for Sult, a collaboration between Nationaltheatret and Oslo Moderne Teater. He won Gullruten for best actor in 2010 for his role in the NRK series God natt, elskede, the freelance award in 2016, and with Statsteatret, he won the Hedda Award in 2022 for particularly excellent performance.
Today, Eidsvold is a producer and actor in Statsteatret and the CEO and producer in Det Nye Teaterkompaniet.
