Anders Danielsen Lie

Anders Danielsen Lie (b. 1979) had his first leading role at the young age of eleven when he played Herman in Erik Gustavson's film of the same name in 1990. Today, he is known especially for playing the leading roles in Joachim Trier's Oslo, August 31st, and Reprise, a central role in The Worst Person in the World, and for the role of Anders Behring Breivik in Paul Grengrass’ 22 July

In 2016 he played in Oliver Assayas’ Personal Shopper and could also recently be seen on-screen in Mia Hansen-Løve’s Bergman Island. The Worst Person in the World and Berman Island were both shown in the competition program in Cannes in 2021. 

In 2022, he won the National Society of Film Critics award for Best Supporting Actor and the Amanda Award in the same category for The Worst Person in the World

Danielsen Lie has also received the award for best actor under Premiers Plans Film Festival for his role in Oslo, August 31st. He won the Kanon Award in 2012, and was nominated for an Amanda Award for the same role.
