The young aspiring author Siri Hustvedt left a calm life in Minnesota in favour of the vibrant metropolis of Manhattan, in search of the hero of her first novel. Through readings of her own work and honest storytelling, we are invited into her special universe and become acquainted with a unique way of thinking and living.
The documentary is an honest portrait of a fascinating writer's life shaped by art and literature, interwoven with a history of some of life's greatest themes - love and death. The movie is shown in collaboration with Litteraturhuset.
