A Place in the Sun
A pastel-colored journey to the holiday paradise of Gran Canaria, where millions of tourists go every year.
A Place in the Sun is a fascinating documentary about people pursuing the good life in the sun. The film introduces six tourists who decide not to return home from their vacation, essentially choosing to extend their stay indefinitely. All of them share a common denominator—they are running from something. Their reasons vary, from being refugees of war, seeking escape from the cold in their home country, fleeing from abusive partners, or simply trying to get away from themselves. The film premiered at CPH:DOX earlier this year.
