XXL is a road movie that delves into complex human relationships creatively with a dry sense of humour.

Magda tries to achieve her dream of becoming an actress and travels to Helsinki for an audition. She brings her brother along on the trip to repair their broken relationship. The siblings, Magda and Enzo, try to rekindle their bond through the journey to Finland.

The film premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival.

Director

Kim Ekberg is a Swedish filmmaker, artist, and film critic. Along with Hannah Wiker Wikström and Sawandi Groskind, he runs the production company POST POST. Sawandi Groskind is a filmmaker whose short films have been featured at the Locarno Film Festival and other significant festivals. He co-manages POST POST with Ekberg and directed the film XXL (2024).
