Twelve-year-old Abdel is intelligent and dreams of one day becoming a veterinarian, but grows up in a rough neighborhood in Sweden where the local gang controls everything. He is not interested in becoming a criminal, but when his friend Bashir is drawn into a gang, Abdel gets entangled as well. Before they know it, they find themselves in the middle of a gang war.

Director
Peter Pontikis (b. 1976) is a Swedish filmmaker with a background in psychology and philosophy. His first short film, the student project Paketet (2006), gained attention at several major festivals. Pontikis' debut feature film was Vampires (2008), followed by the award-winning short Boy-Razor (2015). His second feature film, Bullets (2023), received very positive reviews, multiple awards, and international distribution
