Jane by Charlotte
In connection with the passing of one of the great pop-cultural icons of the 20th century, Jane Birkin, this summer, Oslo Pix Film Festival is screening the documentary about her life – created by her daughter.
The documentary Jane by Charlotte, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021, provides a unique glimpse into a legendary celebrity family consisting of the actress and singer Jane Birkin, the musician Serge Gainsbourg, and the actress Charlotte Gainsbourg. The film is a heartfelt narrative about the relationship between mother and daughter, intertwined with reflections on beauty, fame, and the process of aging.
