Jane B. for Agnès V.
In connection with the passing of one of the great pop-cultural icons of the 20th century, Jane Birkin, this summer, Oslo Pix Film Festival is screening the documentary about her life – created by the icon Agnès Varda.
Jane Birkin was an acting and singing legend, featuring in films like Blow-up (1966) and Death on the Nile (1978). Agnès Varda is one of the greatest contemporary French directors, having directed over 60 titles throughout her career. Jane B. for Agnes V. is an expressionistic portrait of Birkin, consisting of interviews mixed with film sequences where Birkin has creative freedom.
The screening during the festival is a truly unique opportunity to see this film on a big screen.
