How To Have Sex
Three British teenage girls go on vacation to Greece, involving lots of booze, partying and hooking up. But what was supposed to be the vacation of a lifetime becomes the exact opposite.
In Molly Manning Walker’s impressive debut feature, the three friends Tara, Skye and Em travel to the party town Malia on Crete, where they do their best not to think about the exam results they are waiting for. All three have one thing on their mind: sex. This is especially important for Tara, who has no sexual experience. One morning they get to know their neighbors at the hotel, and the possibility of hooking up suddenly looks pretty realistic. Walker’s film is a non-judgmental behavioral study that deals with serious issues of consent.
«Molly Manning Walker's first film feels like an expert, surefire debut as a result of the skill with which she (and the brilliant collaborators she surrounds herself with on and off-camera) elicits every subtle gut punch the movie has to offer»
