BlackBerry
Today most people know what an iPhone is. But before Apple conquered the market, there was a lesser-known company that had almost 50% of the mobile market: BlackBerry. After only six years the company collapsed. This is the story of what happened.
With quick lines and humor, BlackBerry follows the company Research in Motion – a group of computer nerds who were behind the phone that revolutionized cell phone technology. For the first time, you could fit a computer in your pocket. The history of cell phones may sound dry, but in director Matt Johnson’s hands, this is both exciting and very entertaining. The film is stuffed with razor-sharp dialogue and excellent performances while capturing the spirit of the early 2000s perfectly.
«BlackBerry is funny, fast and nerve-rattling. And it is always – always – intensely entertaining.» – Barry Hertz, The Globe and Mail Canada –
Red.
