The Tambourine Man Film & Concert

Join us for a very special closing night of Oslo Pix Film Festival 2025. Together with BLÅ, we invite you to a warm and joyful tribute to Frank Znort Quartet’s tambourine man, Willy-Freddy Shanty, who passed away earlier this year.

We will screen the documentary THE TAMBOURINE MAN, directed by Kari Anne More – a story of friendship, community, and the joy of music, and of achieving something together. The film takes us from Oslo’s East Side to Uganda, where Willy returns home to reunite with his mother for the first time in five years, together with his musical friends.

After the screening, the evening continues with the unmistakable Frank Znort atmosphere – the band plays at Blå every Sunday, but this night will be especially intimate and heartfelt.

An evening to celebrate the music, the friendship, and the man who made everyone smile – Willy-Freddy Shanty.
