Edward embarks on a journey through Asia in this existential tale of loneliness.

It is 1917. Edward is an employee of the British Empire and embarks on a journey through Asia after fleeing from his fiancée, Molly, on their wedding day. Initially driven by panic, Edward's travels gradually evolve into a melancholic exploration of existential loneliness. Determined to marry him, Molly follows Edward's footsteps across Asia.

Portuguese director Miguel Gomes's latest ambitious film debuted in the main competition at Cannes earlier this year.
