In 2005 thirteen people sought asylum in Norway followed closely by filmmaker Charlotte Røhder Tvedt. Of these, seven got citizenship, two withdrew their applications and four were rejected and disappeared. In 15 YEARS LATER she tries to find them all again.

15 YEARS LATER is a sequel of sorts to the documentary INTERVJUET - BAK DØRENE TIL UDI from 2006, where we now follow the director from the moment she decides to try and find them again.

How does the experience of beginning over feel like? In 15 YEARS LATER we get some of the answers – it gives a unique insight into the dramatic consequences of choices over time, about encounters between people and how it is to live with memories of your home country in a new place.

The screening is followed by a conversation about integration in the long run. What is really integration? What does it contribute to, and what does it hinder? Have we talked the word to death, and should it rather be called a relationship?

Panel participants:

  • Charlotte Røhder Tvedt - Director, 15 ÅR SENERE
  • Sylo Taraku - Writer and advisor, Agenda

Moderator:

  • Harmeet Kaur - Journalist, Klassekampen

Practical information:

  • The screening is in Vega Scene 1 Sunday 04.09.
  • The film starts at 14:45.
  • Conversation after the screening.
