Win 15 000 for your short film idea
Do you have a short story you just have to tell? Now you can win 15,000 kroner to make the film!
Oslo Pix Film Festival, Mediefabrikken and Viken filmsenter invite you to Lynpitch 2026 – a video pitch competition where the audience crowns the winner.
How to participate
Upload your 1-minute video pitch by 12.08, at 23.59.
The video must include (in whatever order suits you):
Your name and age
Location for filming
The plot of the film; the beginning, middle and end
Expected length of the film (max 10 minutes)
What happens next?
The selected video pitches will be screened at KORTREIST at Oslo Pix Film Festival at VEGA Kino on Tuesday 25 August. If your pitch is selected, you must be able to attend in person. The audience votes for their favourite on the night, and the winner receives 15,000 kroner towards the production of their short film. The prize is awarded the same evening.
Who can apply?
You are between 20 and 30 years old.
You are based in Oslo, Akershus, Buskerud or Østfold.
You are able to attend KORTREIST at VEGA Kino on 25 August.
The short film idea is no longer than 10 minutes.
Lynpitch is open to all genres within short film.
The film must be achievable within a budget of 15,000 kroner. The winning project may not apply for additional production grants through Viken UNG.
