Pre-premiere: RED ROCKET

Thursday the 10th of March 2022 we are holding a pre-premiere of the new Sean Beaker film at Ringen kino. The screening is held in collaboration with Universal Pictures. Red Rocket is a new film from the award-winning director, scriptwriter, and producer Sean Baker (TANGERINE, THE FLORIDA PROJECT) about a retired pornstar who returns to his hometown where people barely tolerate him.

The film was screened during Cannes main competition last year.

His career in Los Angeles is faltering, so the retired pornstar Mikey Saber (Simon Rex) decides to crawl back to his hometown in Texas City. There his wife, whom he has no contact with, lives with her mother and Mikey is against all odds allowed to move in with them. This dysfunctional family is working out just fine until Mikey meets Strawberry, a young woman who works at the register of a donut store and falls back to his old habits.
