Even Sigstad
Even Sigstad is a Norwegian director, former professional freeskier, and co-founder of Field Productions. He has worked across documentary film, television, and commercial productions, with a background rooted in action sports. Between 2003 and 2011, Sigstad worked both in front of and behind the camera on eight internationally released ski and snowboard documentaries, recognised at action sports festivals world wide. From 2010 to 2016, he directed a seasonal documentary series for VGTV, which won Series of the Year at the Nordic Media Days Awards.
Sigstad directed and edited the feature documentary SUPERVENTION, which became a major Norwegian box office success and received multiple nominations at Norway’s Amanda Awards, including Best Cinematography. He later returned as director and editor on SUPERVENTION II, earning an Amanda nomination for Best Editing. He also directed and edited the documentary AKSEL, following the life and career of alpine ski champion Aksel Lund Svindal. The film was released theatrically across Europe and acquired by Viaplay. His latest feature documentary, SAVAGE MOUNTAIN, will have its world premiere at Sheffield DocFest.
