Hedda Mjøen

Hedda Mjøen is a director and writer from Oslo, Norway, working with both fiction and documentary. Her projects often explore ethical dilemmas and controversial topics. She aims to create thought-provoking stories that give fresh perspectives on topics that are polarised in the public debate, such as racism, religion, sexual violence, and mental illness. MERCY is her first short film as a director, inspired by true events. It won the Golden Chair at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad in 2025.
