Tonje Hessen Schei
Tonje Hessen Schei is an award-winning documentary filmmaker who has been working with independent documentaries since 1996. Her films mostly take on international issues that question the systems of power that shape our world. Among other things, she has directed the films Drone (2014) and iHuman (2019). Tonje has an education in social anthropology from NTNU and TV and film production from the University of Texas, Austin. She has won awards both in Norway and abroad for her films. Her latest documentary Praying for Armageddon (2023) explores the consequences of the influence of evangelical fundamentalists in the United States.
