Merethe Offerdal Tveit

Merethe Offerdal Tveit (b. 1985) works with documentaries and art films. Depictions of rural Norway are close to her heart and she has produced and directed several short films from the Hardangerfjord, where she lives. Her film Absalon Beyersgate 10, an experimental short film, screened at Nordisk Panorama in 2010. She graduated from Nordland Art and Film School and OsloMet.

Villagers and Vagabonds is her first feature film, and was awarded Best Documentary at Bergen International Film Festival in 2020.
