Itonje Søimer Guttormsen

Itonje Søimer Guttormsen (b. 1979) lives in Oslo and works with film and ritual performance. She has a BA in film directing from the Norwegian Film School (2008), and a MFA in Film Processes from Akademin Valanda, Gothenburg (2017). She has previously directed the short films Irma ut i verden (2005), Andropia (2007), Den utvalgte (2008) and Retrett (2016), which received big attention both in Norway and abroad. Søimer Guttormsen is also behind the art film festival ByFlimmer, and the choir KORET. Gritt is her feature film debut and a continuation of her short film Retrett.
