Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die

A man from the future needs help from the guests at a Los Angeles diner to save the world.

One evening in Los Angeles, a man walks into a diner. He claims to come from the future, where an artificial intelligence has wiped out humanity – and only a very specific combination of the diner's guests can prevent the AI from being created. This is not his first attempt. He has been to the diner 117 times before on the same mission, and has failed every time. Tonight's recruits are Wi-Fi-allergic Ingrid, teachers Mark and Janet, and grieving mother Susan.

GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE is Gore Verbinski's first film in nine years. This is a crazy sci-fi comedy with Sam Rockwell in a fantastic lead role. It succeeds brilliantly both as a spectacular blockbuster and as a sharp satire of screen addiction and the optimism surrounding artificial intelligence.
