After a tragic death, a mother, her daughter and a teenage boy travel to Tenerife.

Ella and her two daughters, Jessie and Melli, are planning a holiday to Tenerife. The night before departure, Jessie sneaks out with her boyfriend Lux to go to a party in the woods. The night ends in a tragic fall, and Jessie is dead. In the time that follows, Ella, Melli and Lux go over everything that happened the night Jessie died. They look through old photos, read text messages and retrace her final steps. Some time after the tragedy, the trio travel to Tenerife – the holiday that never happened.

The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, where it won the top prize in the Un Certain Regard section.
