Can a child be evil when it is not yet fully developed, when it is not responsible for its own actions?
It is summer and long bright days. But not everyone goes on holiday. Four children become acquainted and together they explore the blocks where they live and the surrounding forest. Hidden from their parents' eyes, the children's innocent play develops into something more. Unsettling things begin to happen.
THE INNOCENTS is a psychological thriller written and directed by Eskil Vogt, who is behind the screenplays for Joachim Trier's films. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2021 and was acclaimed by the international press.
