An intense and moving hospital drama.
Nurse Floria works in a ward where both staff and resources are constantly in short supply. With warmth and a strong sense of responsibility, she moves from bed to bed, offering patients and their loved ones the care they need. But the tasks keep piling up, and the evening shift becomes a race against time.
Late Shift sheds light on an ongoing healthcare crisis – seen through the eyes of a nurse. By 2035, Norway may face a shortage of 28,000 nurses (SSB). Already today, one in five nursing shifts goes unstaffed or is filled by personnel with lower qualifications. The film reflects a reality many recognize: a workday where compassion runs deep, but the system fails.
