Wild Diamond

19-year-old Liane lives with her mother and little sister in a small town in southern France. She is obsessed with beauty and dreams of becoming something big: her dream is to join the reality show «Miracle Island.»

Liane has shaped her body according to what she considers the perfect woman, almost to the point of caricature. But a deep sorrow and desperation lie behind the dream of success and celebrity status. Malou Khébizi, in the role of Liane, performs with rare intensity and pathos and is an acting talent worth following in the future.

Director

Agathe Riedinger (b. 1985) is a French filmmaker. She studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and has a background in commercial films, music videos, and short films. Wild Diamond is her feature film debut.
