O Brother, Where Art Thou?
Everett Ulysses McGill is a man with great eloquence, high ambitions, and little luck.
He is a small-time crook struggling with severe issues adapting to the disciplined life accompanying hard labor in 1930s Mississippi. Fed up with swinging a sledgehammer and breaking rocks, he barely manages to escape with his companions, the good-natured but somewhat simple Delmar and the completely maladjusted and aggressive Pete. The chained trio sets out on a peculiar adventure, seeking freedom and wealth. Everett has promised Delmar and Pete a share of a buried fortune, which he claims to know the location of.
