The Hypnosis

Vera books an appointment with a hypnotherapist to get help quitting smoking, but with the hypnosis comes an unexpected side effect: She loses all social inhibitions.

Together with her boyfriend André, she is trying to get a health app up and running, and they have been invited to participate in a prestigious startup competition. Now that Vera has lost all inhibitions, André fears that it might jeopardize their business idea and that the big breakthrough is further away than he first thought. This razor-sharp satire, by feature film debutant Ernst De Geer, pokes at the tech industry's false authenticity and modern relationships.

Director

Ernst De Greer (b. 1989) is a Swedish director working in Stockholm and Oslo. He studied screenwriting at Biskops Arnö and has an education from The Norwegian Film School. His graduation short film, The Culture (2018), won several awards worldwide. Hypnosis is his first feature film.
