Armand
Armand, a six-year-old boy, is accused of crossing the boundaries of his best friend at elementary school. On short notice, Armand's mother, Elisabeth, is called in for a parent-teacher meeting.
Elisabeth is called in for a parent-teacher meeting on short notice. Her son is accused of something, but what this «something» is seems unclear. Soon, the principal, the school nurse, and another pair of parents are also part of a meeting over which the school quickly loses control.
Armand had its world premiere in the Un Certain Regard program at the Cannes Film Festival, where Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel became the first Norwegian to win a directing award at the festival, receiving the prestigious Caméra d'Or for best debut feature.
«[…] resonant and haunting – and should spark plenty of post-screening discussions.»
