We are proud to present the world premiere of Patrik Syversens new film Demon Box! Siblings Amalie and Emil visit their family’s vacation home one last time before it’s put up for sale. Their intent is to get rid of specific traces of the past before the rest of the family arrives, but things spiral out of control when an intrusive stranger shows up. Demon Box bears the signature of a playful and versatile director. Even though it breaks with certain storytelling conventions, it is meticulously planned and digs much deeper than might be glanced from a first impression. This is a dark drama about manipulation and denial, but also about the normalized evil, the evil we rarely see because it is hiding in plain sight. When self-preservation becomes more important than empathy, and even the most cynical of actions can be rationalized – is there anything left? CF

Director Patrik Syversen will stay for a Q&A after the screenings on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th of June.
