About the film
Asle and Gerd meet in a small coastal town on the western edge by the sea. They have a son, and for a time, their happiness feels complete. But Asle, the sailor, is restless and drawn back to the sea, while Gerd remains in the village, alone with their child. The distance between them grows, and a question emerges: how much distance can love endure?
A tender, visual, and powerful story about love, written by Nobel Prize winner Jon Fosse.
The event is a collaboration between Det Norske Teatret, Samlaget, Paradox, SF Studios and Oslo Pix Filmfestival.
