Before the screening of EVERYBODY DIGS BILL EVANS, there will be a conversation between Audun Vinger and Anders Danielsen Lie. Fredrick Arnøy and Øyvind Larsen from Victoria National Jazz Scene play Bill Evans records in the foyer at Klingenberg Kino.
The conversation will be in Norwegian. The screening is a collaboration with Victoria National Jazz Scene.
About the film
It is 1961 in New York City. Legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans has put together the perfect trio, consisting of himself, Paul Motian on drums and Scott LaFaro on bass. A short time after the recording of what would become two of the most critically acclaimed live albums ever – Sunday at the Village Vanguard and Waltz for Debby – LaFaro dies in a car accident. Evans is paralysed by grief and stops playing.
