The conversation will be in Norwegian.

ReFocus: The Films of Joachim Trier examines central themes in Trier's films, such as memory, place, identity, and friendship, along with his innovative film style through close studies of time, structure, and narration in all five of his films. About Anne Gjelsvik:

Anne Gjelsvik is a professor of film studies at the Department of Art and Media Studies, NTNU, where she teaches contemporary film and film analysis. Her research focuses on the relationship between contemporary film and society, with a particular emphasis on Norwegian and American fiction films. She has written numerous books and articles (in both English and Norwegian) on topics such as film criticism, terrorism, violence in film, adaptation, and ecocriticism. Gjelsvik is an active communicator of her field, contributing regularly to Montages, and has received awards for her communication efforts from the Norwegian Media Researchers Association and the Norwegian Film Critics Association.
