Agnés Varda
Agnès Varda (1928-2019) was a French film director, screenwriter, photographer, and artist. She was a prominent figure in the French New Wave. In her films, she focused on themes related to feminism, and documentary realism, and had a distinct experimental style. She is known for films such as Cléo from 5 to 7 (1962), Vagabond (1985), The Beaches of Agnès (2008), and Faces Places (2017).
