Join us in creating a film festival for the youth!
We need committed volunteers who want to help ensure that Oslo's 9th graders get unique experiences of quality films during Oslo Pix Ung, 19-28 May at Odeon Cinema.
Oslo Pix Film Festival and Den kulturellter skolesekken Oslo want to create awareness and excitement about film as a medium and artistic expression among school students. That's why we created Oslo Pix Ung. Here, students get to see films, and meet directors, actors or others who work behind the scenes on a film set, who talk about their fields and how they work.
What can you help us with?
During the day during the festival week, we arrange school screenings for all 9th graders in Oslo at Odeon Cinema. As a volunteer at the school film festival, you will welcome students and teachers, ensure that speakers and festival guests have what they need, and help with admission and cleanup. You work at least two full day shifts during the week, and the shifts last from about 08:30 to about 15:00. In return, you will have the opportunity to watch films during the Oslo Pix Film Festival's regular program in August. We want you to be service-minded, responsible and prepared for both hectic and quiet work periods. It is also an advantage if you are comfortable speaking in front of groups, but not an absolute requirement.
You must be 18 years old to volunteer at Oslo Pix Ung.
Registration can be found here. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 7 at 12:00.
