Free Screenings at Deichman Bjørvika in May
Watch ROCKS the 6th of May and LISE & SNØPELS - VENNER FOR ALLTID the 7th of May at Deichman Bjørvika
In the months leading up to Oslo Pix Film Festival, we are working with Deichman Bjørvika to screen a selection of films that we think deserve to be lifted into the spotlight. In May we will be holding two screenings.
The first is the heart-breaking and witty British coming-of-age drama ROCKS 6 PM Friday the 6th of May.
ROCKS
When the 15-year-old Rocks arrives home from school one day, she finds nothing but a note left by her mother, saying she needed a break and has left home for a while. With no way to know when their mother will be back will Rocky and her younger brother be able to fend for themselves? And how should they avoid being taken into care by child welfare services?
Director Sarah Gavron developed the film in close collaboration with the young amateur cast, which landed the film a BAFTA award for best casting, as well as a number of other awards.
The film has English speech and Norwegian subtitles.

LISE & SNØPELS - VENNER FOR ALLTID (juniorkino)
We invite you to a fantastic animated film that will enthuse both children and adults alike in this film from our junior-cinema program. The film depicts a beautiful and exciting story about a unique friendship formed between Lise Mouse and Snowfur Fox.
Imagine a dash of Studio Ghibli, a dose of the Fantastical Mr. Fox, and a big portion of Claus Climbermouse and the other animals in the Huckybucky Forest, and you will get a good idea of what is in store.
