Emil Langballe
Emil Langballe (b. 1982) studied directing at the British National Film and Television School. His films have been screened and honoured at festivals like CPH:DOX, Hot Docs, IDFA, Karlovy Vary, Thessaloniki, Visions du Reel, Moscow IFF and many others. In 2020, he won the Bodil (The Danish Film Critics’ Award) for best documentary, and his latest film THEATRE OF VIOLENCE was nominated for the 2023 DOX:AWARD and won the grand prize at the Munich International Documentary Film Festival. PETROLHEADS (2026) is his fourth feature documentary.
