Roald is the new leader of the Workers' Youth League. He is young, idealistic and ambitious, but when he learsn that the youth league is supported by the CIA, he is drawn into an intense political game.
Roald is torn between loyalty to his own party and his ideals of honesty and transparency. When the CIA's support is leaked to the press, he experiences more pressure from his fellow party members. This is something as rare as a pure political thriller from Norway, inspired by the real circumstances around the Youth Party leader Ola Teigen, who took his own life in 1970. Director Pål Bang-Hansen draws inspiration from Hitchcock and Antonioni, with excellent performances by Bjørn Sundquist and Bjørn Floberg.
