Ola is 30 years old and lives with many different people in the village of Vidaråsen in Vestfold. Here, they live close to nature, at a slower pace, and the small community is founded on inclusion, understanding, and respect.

Ola is an engaged, funny, and honest guy. He has a mild intellectual disability and speaks openly and with curiosity about it. When Ola loses an important piece of his life, he reflects on his existence and what he can do to become more independent.
"Being Ola" is a powerful, funny, and honest film about equality, belonging, and the importance of feeling safe enough to be who you are. It is a close and honest portrait that helps break down the divide between “us and them.”
