Kika

Kika is pregnant with her second child when her partner suddenly passes away. Heartbroken and broke, she must keep her head above water and find a way to make money fast.

To make ends meet, she decides to turn to sex work. With a restrained and unsensational approach to the subject, director Alexe Poukine has crafted a beautiful and at times humorous film about a mother doing what she can to care for her child.

The film premiered in the Critic's Week at the Cannes Film Festival.
