Ivar Aase is an Oslo-based filmmaker. His shorts have been shown at several international film festivals, such as Tribeca, Clermont-Ferrand, and Palm Springs, where he recently won «Best Short Film 15 minutes and under». In 2023, he received the Golden Chair in Grimstad for Best Norwegian Short Film for the second time. Art is Dead premiered at BIFF the same year.
