Hunters of a Wild Field
Three men go on a hunting trip deep in the Swedish forests. Initially, the trip is a success, but when the animals in the forest disappear, they must find a new way to continue the hunt.
Hunters of a Wild Field is a nerve-wracking – and often humorous – deep dive into masculinity and self-destructive egos. Debut filmmaker Sarah Gyllenstierna excels in creating an unsettling atmosphere in the Swedish wilderness, aided by fantastic cinematography and three strong performances. The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
