A chaotic, adrenaline-filled journey through the streets of New York.

Good Time has an urban and retro style reminiscent of the sweaty rush of 1970s New Hollywood, with comparable titles like Dog Day Afternoon and Taxi Driver. At the same time, the directors cleverly show us fleeting glimpses of social injustice, placing Good Time squarely in Donald Trump's America of 2017.

The film has a high tempo and is built up by a solid audiovisual expression through Daniel Lopatin's pulsating soundtrack and Sean Price Williams' handheld camera work with close-ups bathed in neon lights. This, combined with brilliant performances from lead actor Robert Pattinson and Ben Safdie (also one of the film's directors), makes Good Time an artistic gem worth seeing in the cinema.
