Blue Sun Palace
After a tragedy, two migrants from the Chinese community in Queens form an unexpected bond.
In a massage parlor in Flushing, Queens, Amy and Didi navigate romance, happiness, and the obligations of their families thousands of miles away. Despite the physical and emotional toll their work demands, the women have fortified an impenetrable sisterhood, which tragically collapses when disaster strikes on Lunar New Year.
Blue Sun Palace is a powerful drama that had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024.
«By its final grace note, one that considers the reality that some wounds aren’t meant to heal, “Blue Sun Palace,” a soulful and passionate meditation on loss, shines as a new gem of slow cinema.»
