Get to know Danish Charlotte Sieling in this masterclass on TV shows and film. Charlotte Sieling is an actress and director, and is a guest at Oslo Pix with Rivalene, a drama set in the art world starring Ane Dahl Torp and Jakob Oftebro. She made her debut as a feature film director in 2009 with Above the Street, Below the Water, but before that and since she has worked as a director on several well-known TV shows. After Rejseholdet (2000-2002) she has worked on Better Times, The Bridge, The Killing and Borgen, and her success at home has given her directing gigs for The Americans, Homeland and Wayward Pines.

Building on her own experiences, Sieling will share reflections and concrete knowledge about the differences between working in film and television. TV shows have attracted many viewers and a higher status over the last years, but what are the differences between working in film and TV seen from the point of view of a director? What creative opportunities and limitations does the two mediums give? And how can a Scandinavian work with big shows in the US? These and many other questions will be touched upon during a two-hour conversation. The masterclass is aimed at the film and TV industry, but it is also open to all audiences.

The event is arranged by Oslo Pix and NFI:LAB.
