What the F**k is International Potential?
Over the past two to three years, Norwegian cinema has experienced an international recognition without historical precedent. An Oscar, a BAFTA, the Grand Prix in Cannes, and the Golden Bear in Berlin have placed Norway in a position as one of Northern Europe's most exciting film nations. The question the industry is now asking itself is: how do we consolidate and build on this momentum? And who is it, really, that defines what Norwegian cinema should be for an international audience?
