After the screening of ILDEN, VANNET, JORDEN, LUFTEN, Naturvernforbundet invites you to a conversation about a climate crisis unfolding just outside the capital: the Oslofjord.

The Oslofjord is in a serious ecological crisis. Populations of coastal cod and other species have collapsed, eelgrass and kelp forests are disappearing, and large parts of the fjord are struggling with oxygen depletion and an overgrowth of filamentous algae. The causes are complex: overfishing, sewage discharge, agricultural runoff, and coastal development. Researchers warn that the ecosystem is close to a tipping point, and climate change is worsening the problems.
How did we end up here, and what will it take to bring the fjord back to life? Together with marine biologist Per-Erik Schulze, the film's Norwegian director Janne Lindgren and moderator Maiken P. Sele from Naturvernforbundet, we explore what the film's stories can teach us about the nature closest to us, and whether there is still hope for the Oslofjord.
